Massage

  • Optimum health and maximum physical performance demands optimum circulation and muscle function. Massage is one of the most beneficial therapies to achieve this. It has numerous physiological benefits and does so much more than just making you feel good.
  • It is used to heal or aid in the recovery of injury, headaches, neck, shoulder, back and sciatica pain. It assists in the recovery of RSI type conditions, cramping and tight muscles, sluggish bowel, constipation and menstrual discomfort. It is also very useful in pain management, particularly for cancer patients  - the list just goes on and on.
  • Minor injury is the most usual form of musculoskeletal problems and timely treatment here can greatly speed recovery and reduce time off work or training down time. Minor injury, left untreated, can often progress to more serious conditions.
  • Massage is a must for any sports person, dancers, physically demanding occupations or desk-bound persons. In fact it is hard to imagine anyone that would not benefit from massage
  • It is useful in reducing scar tissue formation from injury or surgery. Early treatment is best here.
  • It offers relief from pain and discomfort during pregnancy as well as optimising blood and lymphatic flow.
  • Essential for anyone that is bed bound for any length of time.
  • Problems that have not been improved by other courses of treatment. e.g. Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Drug therapies and surgery, can often be effectively and quickly resolved with massage, proving that it is often the best form of treatment. When used in conjunction with other therapies, massage can greatly speed recovery.
  • Massage is calming and as such is a widely preferred non-drug therapy. It is used to reduce levels of stress and promotes a sense of well being and wellness. It promotes overall good health through supporting and encouraging optimal blood flow and lymph drainage of the skeletal muscles and organs. It gives a fresh “charge” to the body and mind.
  • Whether for relaxation or to address an old or new complaint, massage is a natural therapy that has been successfully used since the dawn of time. It operates on many levels and can quickly be customised to suit the individual. It is versatile and a cost-effective treatment that is rapidly returning, as a first choice of treatment.
